Who are we?

Some people have asked about us so here is a little more about who we are.

We are a diverse group of individuals, whose collective heart is to serve and make a difference. We try to make life a little more bearable for those on the streets or in vulnerable situations.

As well as providing hot nutritious meals we offer clothing, hygiene essentials, a laundry service and a wash & swap service for sleeping bags. We also help, support and signpost to other agencies and organisations for continued support in specific areas of need.

Meeting people where they’re at, accepting them for who they are and offering a listening ear is an integral part to the hope of future change. Trust is built over time, and with the dedication, commitment and genuine care our team provides, this is something we have had the privilege of experiencing.

Through our various lives and work roles we bring a multitude of experiences that enable us to help or signpost those we support. Many of the volunteers have been involved with soup kitchens, drug/alcohol services, homeless organisations, social services, supporting offenders move away from crime, legal services and other relevant organisations for a long time, giving us additional insight into some of the needs of our service users.

CSK has full public liability insurance, top 5 star ratings from Environmental Health and all of the people who cook for our service users have level 2 food safety certificates accompanied by mandatory allergen training.
