Do you have fundraising experience?
Are you creative and able to think of non-traditional routes to income generation?
Christchurch Soup Kitchen (CSK) is a small charity looking for a responsible, creative and hardworking person to join our small team as a volunteer fundraiser.
We are looking to establish additional fundraising partnerships and invest more time completing funding applications.
We are looking for an experienced fundraising volunteer with enthusiasm and commitment to work as part of a small team.
You should be motivated, self-managing and organised, with previous fundraising experience.
This is a very rewarding role helping make life a little more bearable for those on the streets, as well as others that have found themselves requiring additional support.
We would like a fundraising volunteer to;
Develop and manage fundraising opportunities.
Submit grant applications and follow through to (hopefully!) successful completion.
Approach businesses to arrange fundraising opportunities.
Christchurch Soup Kitchen (CSK) currently works from Saxon Square Car Park, providing hot nutritious meals 6 evenings a week to those requiring this support. As well as providing hot nutritious meals we offer clothing, hygiene essentials, a laundry service and a wash & swap service for sleeping bags. We also help, support and signpost to other agencies and organisations for continued support in specific areas of need.
Meeting people where they’re at, accepting them for who they are and offering a listening ear is an integral part to the hope of future change. Trust is built over time, and with the dedication, commitment and genuine care our team provides, this is something we have had the privilege of experiencing.
We are fortunate and thankful to soon be moving into our own building. Additional fundraising will be required for the day to day costs involved with this, as well as paying for additional support opportunities for the local community.
To apply please submit a CV and covering letter to csk4thecommunity@gmail.com
