Everyone needs......

Firstly we would like to say a huge thank you for your continued support of our work both financially and by way of goods. We rely solely on your kindness and generosity without which, we wouldnt be able to do what we do.

While we are yet to find a suitable home for us, we continue our search and continue to serve in a car park.

This is not ideal and we long to provide an environment of dignity and pride for those who come - a place they feel is theirs, with a sense of belonging.

We don’t just provide for the homeless in our community, but to others who for one reason or another are ‘in need’ and we know we are getting something right, when week after week we are told how much they value the ‘social aspect’ of soupy.

While we all know the importance of a human beings basic needs, there is a need within each of us that goes so much deeper. The deep, innate need for significance, acceptance, belonging, purpose and connection and this is the most profound part of our amazing work.

We live in amazing times with technical connectivity like never before, so my question is this....

Q: Why is this Era said to be the loneliest Era that ever existed?

A: Experts say that fundamentally, the human being is designed for interpersonal relationships.

Loneliness and isolation literally has the potential to drain us of the very desire to even exist.

So once again, we thank you for supporting us as we continue to combat so much more than the basic need of a simple hot meal.
