Whilst you begin to get busy with your festive planning and shopping, please spare a thought for our local rough sleepers and hidden homeless.
Whether our service user is sleeping in a tent, is a sofa surfer or is living in one room within temporary accommodation with no access to cooking facilities, it would be wonderful to brighten up a time that will be incredibly lonely for them with a few gifts.
A nice bar of chocolate, some festive biscuits, a toiletries pack or other festive treats would be wonderful to give to someone who has next to nothing at Christmas time.
Please get in touch if you can donate a few items.
Christmas is a time of people getting together. Those who do not have a home are often very isolated and lonely, they also usually have very little.
We at Christchurch Soup Kitchen are here for them 6 days a week, with a hot meal, time, support, conversation and supplies.
We only close on Christmas Day.
On Christmas Day however there is a place in Christchurch for everyone to go to for a free hot Christmas lunch and company, all are welcome.
Please also remember we always need supplies of baby wipes, alcohol free mouthwash, thick socks, new or as good as new men’s boxers, thick hoodies, sleeping bags, tents, coffee, lots and lots of longlife milk etc.
